IMPORTANT: Updates on Asia Pacific Eye Centre services.

In view with the new advisory from the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on COVID-19 for the healthcare sector, these are the updates for Asia Pacific Eye Centre.

From 2nd June onwards,

1) Our clinic will be open from Mon – Fri from 9.00am to 4.00pm and on Saturday from 9.00am to 12 noon. Do make prior appointments so that we can ensure staggering and safe distancing during your visits.

2) We are allowed to attend to patients with/for

  • Acute eye problems/emergencies
  • Recent eye procedures and/or surgeries for postop reviews
  • Advanced cataract/glaucoma procedures
  • Surgery to protect patients who are dependent on one eye to see

3) Other non-urgent procedures such as LASIK will be put on hold, and we will not be able to provide a scheduled date till further notice from MOH.

However, if you are unsure if you should be coming to the clinic, feel free to contact us to clarify with our staff.

With the new circuit breaker measures extension, we unfortunately have to reschedule all non-urgent appointments made in May, to June instead.

As we have quite a huge amount of appointments to reschedule and contact, please be patient with us and give us some time to contact each of you individually.

Asia Pacific Eye Centre services in view of latest COVID-19 measures

Dear Patients,
During these unprecedented times, our top priority is your safety and that of your loved ones. On 3 April 2020, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce announced the new precautionary measures to minimise the further spread of COVID-19.
At Asia Pacific Eye Centre, we will do our part in preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
During this period from 6th April to 5th May 2020:
1) Our clinic will still be open for acute eye problems/emergencies during this period from Mon – Fri from 9.00am to 4.00pm and on Saturday from 9.00am to 12 noon. Do make prior appointments so that we can ensure staggering and safe distancing during your visits.
2) Patients with recent eye procedures and/or surgeries done in the last 1 month should still come for their postop reviews.
3) All other patients whose conditions are stable will receive a phone call to postpone their appointment till after 5th May.
However, if you are unsure whether you should be coming for follow-up, feel free to call our clinic to clarify with our staff.

Asia Pacific Eye Centre (APEC)

Asia Pacific Eye Centre (APEC) is an eye specialist clinic located in Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. We were established in 2007, and have been serving patients since. Our resident eye specialists at APEC are Dr Lee Hung Ming and Dr Tan Yar Li.
